“I was a little nervous before my reading only because I've never gone through an experience like this so I didn't know what it was going to be like. I tried to be as open as possible. “I had very little expectations for my reading because I entered the experience with an open heart, hoping to connect with a passed loved one. I felt a lot of clarity and warm feelings from the reading and I was excited to relay information to family members.
Mel knew a lot about my family's health history, and specifics on the different family dynamics. I knew right away that she was talking about my father's dad (whom I have never met), and it was very special to hear him talk about my grandma (his wife) and her sister. The message that my grandfather wanted me to send was very well received by my family. Even parts of the reading I wasn't familiar with, after talking with my father we were able to make sense of every piece that Mel shared with me.
There were a lot of things that really stood out about the reading. She kept sharing with me that my grandfather was showing her crutches. I couldn't figure out what he was referring to, and then I talked to my dad and he reminded me of my uncle's terrible accident that has debilitated him. He uses crutches to walk now.
She also knew about the passing of my great aunt by breast cancer, and was able to identify a stillbirth that my grandmother experienced. It was incredible. I experienced many emotions causing me to tear up, smile, and overall, feel a huge sense of love and protection from my family members who have passed on. “I was nervous before my reading with Mel, but a healthy nervous. I 100% hoped to talk with the person who came through in my reading and after the reading I felt calm and renewed and a feeling of satisfaction. The top of mind pieces of evidence that Mel brought through that stuck out the most for me were:
1. The way he passed away was accurate. Mel mentioned it being an accident because he could’ve gotten that growth removed around 7+ years earlier but ignored it – then cancer.
2. The cheap watch that meant a lot to him and me having it.

“I was curious leading up to my reading with Mel. I didn't have expectations. Afterward I felt appreciative. Mel called in my mother, aunt, and grandmother. There is one living sister of that trio remaining. Most everything of what Mel read was accurate, but it's funny that I believe it wasn't meant TO me; it was meant FOR me to relay to my living aunt. Mel also referenced a picture. There is a picture that I knew immediately when she said it's "with you three." It was my grandmother speaking about her three daughters (my mother and her sisters). I told my living aunt about it and she mentioned she has that exact picture by her bedside. I told her to maybe check on the picture, as it seemed very important to my grandmother. When she got home from the hospital, she saw the picture had been knocked over.
My aunt passed away from Melanoma. It spread to her brain. Mel referenced your chest, neck and head area of her passing. Mel was correct! When she passed, she was surrounded by family in her living room. She had one son, and they were each other's worlds. Mel referenced her knowing his love for her. I could tell they were all talking over each other. They are 100% Italians and I'm sure it was overwhelming. Mel also mentioned SO MANY GIRLS! Yes... My mother was one of three girls, my parents had 4 girls (including me) and my father had 5 sisters, some of whom had passed. Mel also mentioned a man she knew getting stem cells. I was curious at this statement, as my aunt Kathy's husband (both passed) received stem cells a few years before he passed. Thank you SO much for what you do Mel! I wanted to know if my loved ones were even aware of me and my family, and if they acted as guides, or if they would show up just to say hello. I felt very affirmed and emotional after the reading. There were so many parts that were very cogent to relationship dynamics and personalities of my loved ones, both passed and still living. I was very happy to connect with them. Mel was so caring and tactful and I had no doubt, she was relaying actual information from my loved ones. The description of my mother and the relationship I had with her and with my older sister stood out. I had said nothing about him being 9 years old, but Mel had said that in the reading. I had no knowledge about either of these things before they came through in the reading.
Not knowing exactly what to expect, it exceeded my expectations. :) I was impressed that Mel wanted no information beforehand. Mel is genuine. “Before my reading with Mel, I was feeling curious and excited about what she might share with me. I was also aware that what came up in my sitting might be emotional given my family history.
I was really surprised by the spirits that Mel connected with as they were family members I never had a chance to meet. I was definitely a little shocked by the things they said and shared, and how accurate they were to my family history. It was definitely emotional and I felt that for a few hours after as well.
Some of the particularly significant evidence that Mel brought through was the mention of the ring that was passed down to me, and how there was anger over it (which was something even I only found out about recently.) She also shared how she knew there was a ring, but couldn't figure out where it was or who had it, which made sense because the ring had been lost in a move years ago.
Mel mentioned that my mother and her sister were like twins, but also not actually twins. My mother and her sister are Irish Twins (born within a year of each other,) and this is something she mentioned often.
There was a visual of a key ring and an auto dealership type place and Mel knew that it was something around age 10 - 12 for me and that it had to do with a romantic interest of my mother’s, which was spot on as my mom's boyfriend during those years worked in a car shop and always carried a giant ring of keys for his work.
Mel was shown her symbol for alcoholism (an empty green wine bottle) and that it was something passed down, which is true - the grandmother that Mel was channeling was an alcoholic (who bravely recovered at the very end of her life, it should be mentioned) and addiction was passed down to my mother.
It was really interesting and cathartic! I didn't have a ton of expectation going into it, as I don't consider myself particularly "woo woo," but I've known Mel for years and she's such a logical and honest person, I truly felt that if she said she could do this, there must be something to it. So, even though I didn't have expectations, I was really open to it, and the reading exceeded my expectations by quite a bit. I have an extremely complicated family history, so I was really surprised that she was able to get such clear evidence because I did worry the complicated history would muddle the connection.
I would say that if you're on the fence about whether or not to believe in mediumship, Mel is definitely the woman to experience it with. As I shared, I have known her for years and in those years we connected mostly over the fact that we're both very logical, real world, no BS, often masculine energy type women. “I was a little nervous for my reading with Mel. I wasn't sure what to ask, but I realized that I didn't need to ask anything. Mel let me know to just wait for what came through and answer yes or no. After the reading, I was blown away. The evidence Mel brought through like age, a quick death, that the spirit was a non-relative, fit my friend Bethany and then she said a B name. I knew it must be Bethany and her nickname was Bebe. Mel also said the word "accident" which is exactly the word another medium used. Mel also mentioned Bethany’s dogs and that she visits her dog, which was a big part of Bethany's life. I also confirmed after our session that one dog is still alive as Mel had said. “I was full of excitement and anticipation for my reading with Mel. For practically my whole life I've wanted to have a mediumistic reading and this was the first one I'd ever managed to go through with. I wanted to remain open and neutral in order to allow Mel to have an unfettered communication. I was hoping to be brought some evidential messages from my parents and other friends and relatives. I felt a feeling of connection and warmth and love and understanding coming from my parents. “I was way more relaxed before this group reading than I was for my session a few months back. Probably because I was not looking to be read but was focused on my daughter hearing from spirit. “I was excited and tentative, hoping to get some answers after some traumatic deaths in my family. I feel I gained a lot of healing and catharsis from my reading with Mel. The reading was very powerful for me. The one piece of evidence I was looking for was the word “bear.” My cousin who died always called me that. 10. My mother mentioning the day she passed. I was tormented by the timing of her passing. It was a great relief to me to hear that she understood my inability to handle it.

“I wasn’t expecting anything specific to come through in my reading with Mel, but it was much more impactful than I anticipated. I felt diffuse afterward, like the opposite of grounded. Not panicked but ‘in the air.’ I felt like I just needed to sit with the experience because I could not find words to process it. I was pretty internal for about 24 hours afterward.
There are many pieces of evidence from the reading that stand out for me. Mel mentioned a few times in the reading that my grandfather was dressed up for work in a suit, which at the time did not resonate, since he was a farmer, but later we recalled that he also served as township supervisor and in the past would have been in charge of land proceedings similar to what our township is currently facing.
I’d describe our experience as incredibly accurate! Mel definitely knew details she could not have known otherwise. During the reading she preferred that we only answer yes, no, or maybe so that we were not leading her. Although our situation was unique because the farm was coming through as an entity, which was very new for her, she was able to figure it out. It was very impressive!
